Beginner Pole

The basics, you’ll learn simple weight bearing moves and combinations and an easy routine to show off to your friends in Week 8. There are no prerequisites for enrolling in a Beginners Course – You may have never even seen a pole before!

Mid-Term Beginner

This is 4-week mini Beginner course for those that can’t wait for the new term to start.  You will learn some of the introductory basics from the Beginners course and will give you that head start for the next term. There are no prerequisites for enrolling in a Mid-Term Beginners Course.

Introduction Intermediate

This level represents the start of inverted pole moves as well as pole climbs and experimenting with different hand grips. In order to enroll in Intermediate Introduction, you must have completed a Beginners pole course (at any studio – not necessarily ours!)

Intermediate 1

Things are starting to get a bit trickier now! This level focuses on inversions – so you’ll be spending a lot of time upside down! You must be confident with pole sits, climbs and basic inverts before enrolling in this level.

Intermediate 2

Prepare yourself for the odd bruise as you learn to hang on to the pole with just one leg! You must be able to perform an “Upside-down V” – held horizontally for ten seconds – in order to enrol in this level.

Intermediate 3

The really acrobatic stuff! By now you are able to impress your friends on trains, children’s play equipment and street signs. You must be confident with both inner and outer leg hangs before enrolling in Int 3.

Advanced Introduction

Our “Pre-Advanced” course. Core moves for this level include handsprings, shoulder mounts and aerial inverts. You must be able to execute a butterfly, a shoulder mount and an aerial invert in order to enroll in this level.

Advanced

“Advanced” implies teacher or competitive level pole. Elements of Chinese Pole and acrobatics with a focus on generating your own stage performances. Each class also contains intense conditioning and flexibility sections. You must be able to execute an aerial shoulder mount, a basic balance (eg static V) and handspring correctly before enrolling here.

This class is suitable for pole students at an Intermediate Intro level to Int 2. In this clinic styled class your teacher will correct and refine your technique, with the main focus being on inversions, spins and static pole. You will also learn a series of conditioning exercises and progressions so that you’ll finally get that nemesis trick that might be holding you back from progressing in your pole training.

This class is suitable for pole students at an Intermediate 2 level and above. Double Trouble – two people on a pole is better than one! You will learn base and flyer moves, how to work in sync, floor acro and partner stretching. Bring a friend, bring your guy or we can pair you up!
All levels welcome. No experience necessary.

LYRA POLE DANCE

Beginner Lyra

Lyra (also known as Aerial Hoop, Aerial Ring and Cereaux) is an aerial circular steel apparatus resembling a hula hoop.  In our Beginner Lyra classes you’ll learn basic shapes and tricks whilst you build up your strength and conditioning and body awareness.  All of the skills that you learn throughout the term are combined to create a routine that you will be able to perform at the end of term.

Silks (also known as Tissu) is an aerial fabric apparatus.  In our Beginner Silks classes you’ll learn how to climb, invert and perform basic wraps and drops whilst you build up your strength and conditioning and body awareness.  All of the skills that you learn throughout the term are combined to create a routine that you will be able to perform.

Charmaine1Beginner Trapeze

Trapeze is an aerial apparatus performed on a bar with two ropes attached at the ends.  In our Beginner Trapeze classes you’ll learn how to invert and perform basic tricks whilst you build up your strength and conditioning and body awareness.  All of the skills that you learn throughout the term are combined to create a routine that you will be able to perform.

Beginner Aerials

A basic introduction to three aerial apparatus: Lyra, Trapeze and Silks. This is a 1.5 hour class that will focus on core conditioning and the strength required for circus arts. All levels welcome.

Aerial Conditioning will get you strong, it’s that simple.  If you’re finding that you’re struggling to move up levels or you just want to get stronger and progress faster, Aerial Conditioning is for you.  Emphasis is placed on core and upper strength, whilst also refining your technique.

A mix of our very own style of freestyle warm-up tracks, core and upper body conditioning as well as some flexibility work – Not strong enough to really bust out those killer pole moves? Or just want to improve your general strength and fitness? Anyone can join this class – we cater to all shapes, sizes and fitness levels. Can’t commit to 8 weeks then try a casual class and see why we’re so popular.

Luxe BendyIntroduction Contortion

You don’t need to be able to split or bend yourself in half backwards to enrol!  This class will teach you how to stretch safely and within your own limits. Contortion is about creating active rather than passive flexibility in your body – there are contortionists who are in their 50’s, so don’t feel limited by your age or current flexibility level. Come and learn safe and effective methods for increasing your flexibility.

Intermediate Contortion

Intermediate Contortion builds on the flexibility and technique that you’ve learnt in Intro to Contortion.  In this course you’ll continue to increase your back bending flexibility however there is a greater focus on building strength and active flexibility so that you can execute more advanced Contortion skills safely. You will learn contortion balances such as standing splits and forearm stands, and advanced back-bends including chest stands.

HANDSTANDS POLE DANCEHandstands

In our Handstands class you’ll learn the fundamentals to go upside down and balance on your hands. All levels are welcome and no prior experience is required. Handstands are a great addition to any form of pole or circus arts, and will help to build your overall strength, coordination and body awareness.

ACROBALANCEAcrobalance

Acrobalance (also known as Adagio) is a fun and challenging class where you’ll learn partner and group balancing tricks. You don’t need any prior experience or a partner to participate in this class. All ages, sizes and levels are welcome!

Lap n Strip

Get your sexy back! A mix of sexy routines incorporating elements of chair dancing, lap dancing and Burlesque. Taught by a professional showgirl. Warm female friendly environment – we even dim the lights so you feel more comfortable. Guaranteed lots of giggles!  You may even take home your sexy routine to show that favorite someone – wink wink!

Aussie Exotica

Aussie Exotica is a choreography dance based class that pays homage to the traditional style of pole dancing that originally developed in Australia.  Think head rolls, body waves, and heel bangs.  In this class you’ll burn hundreds of calories whilst increasing your flexibility and cardiovascular endurance.  This class is suitable for all levels including beginners. Wear your high heels to help you find your inner showgirl!

Russian Exotica

Russian Exotica is a choreography dance based class inspired by the unique style of Russia’s best pole dancers including Olga Koda, Daria Chebotova and Eva Bembo. This style of dancing is a contrasting mix of dynamic but controlled movement using the pole — guaranteed to sweat, burn fat and use every single muscle of your body!
All levels incl beginners.  High heels recommended for ultra sexy slinky and sensual movement!

It’s not a workout until you shake ya bootay and twerkout!  Further expand on your bootay skills as you learn to isolate your hips, lower back and glutes while upright and upside down in a heart-pumping cardio routine.

Core BlastButt/Core Blast

Studio Time is open for your own practice and revision. There is a teacher there to help you master the moves you already know, the moves you missed and help revise your class routine.  It’s also great if you are looking to meet new pole buddies – see you at Studio Time.
